American Public Entity programs, LLC will be providing law enforcement consulting services to provide guidance and resources to Police Executives in multiple areas of Law Enforcement Operations. Lawmakers across the country are preparing to pass sweeping police reform legislation in response to the national outcry over the treatment of individuals by our police departments. This valuable resource will be exclusive to Acrisure Agency Partners across the country. Law enforcement operations are unique in their operations and our consultant with over 30 years of law enforcement experience will help guide our officials as they navigate this changing environment.

At the age of nineteen I had the fortunate opportunity to become a police officer and recently completed 40 years of service with the Meriden Police Department. I received a degree in Law Enforcement Administration from the University of New Haven and graduated from the FBI National Academy, 228th Session. I was promoted through the ranks from Patrol Officer through Chief of Police and have experienced numerous assignments throughout my career, culminating with an Administrative Role as Chief of Police for the past 15 years.The City of Meriden includes a population of approximately 60,000 people with 125 sworn police officers. As Chief of Police, my responsibilities included: Evaluation of conduct of Police Officers and to determine whether or not their conduct was proper in accordance with Policy and Procedure and within objectively reasonable guidelines. – Research and Implementation of a body worn camera project which included the product, budget, infrastructure, storage and operation. – Recruitment & Retention of police personnel within recommendations of the 21st Century Policing Model.
Police departments have difficult challenges and responsibilities as a result of these legislative changes and need to have available experience advisers to provide opinions that they can utilize and rely upon to make informed decisions on the operation of their departments.
